Artist's Description
This painting is based on the Monterey Cypress trees that are found around Monterey, California, and along 16-mile-drive and Big Sur. The striking dark trees are amazing - and the colors in the grasses and flowers make a statement.
About Mary Hubley
I've been painting the coast since I could first hold a crayon at my Grandmother's beach hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey. I grew up with an artist mother and a father who went fishing on his boat every weekend. I worked for many years in the corporate world as an editor and illustrator. Now I spend most of my time painting around the marshes and sandy locales on my Florida island. I'm an award-winning artist and sell my work online and through several prominent galleries.
