Artist's Description

This bird painting is of a white ibis seeking fish in the marsh, walking along, looking down for a tiny fish to eat. The white ibis is a common sight in Florida and Southern U.S. states, fishing around swampy places. The ibis is marked by a long, down-curved bill, and nest with spoonbills and herons.

About Mary Hubley

Mary Hubley

I've been painting the coast since I could first hold a crayon at my Grandmother's beach hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey. I grew up with an artist mother and a father who went fishing on his boat every weekend. I worked for many years in the corporate world as an editor and illustrator. Now I spend most of my time painting around the marshes and sandy locales on my Florida island. I'm an award-winning artist and sell my work online and through several prominent galleries.
